Orchid VII   is of my series of glass compositions that utilize polished or non-painted bronze orca whale forms.   One of the goals I set out for myself in this series was to really play with color, yet more than one of the directions I embarked upon ended up making use of clear glass.   The abstract idea of combining orca whales and orchid flowers together is the basis for the series title.    (next sculpture)
