Falco Rusticolus  is a slightly larger than life size, bronze interpretation of a female gyrfalcon.   At least two castings from this edition have been placed in Japanese gardens.   When I first conceptualized this sculpture, I knew that I wanted to capture the falcon's inquisitive, alert nature but still leave no doubt to it’s underlying power.   We were pleased by the first place sculpture award that Falco Rusticolus received in 1993 at the "Pacific Rim Wildlife Art Show" in Tacoma, Washington.
