Cynthia's Shorebirds is a piece in my shorebird series. Besides the cast bronze birds, I have forged the reeds from both bronze flat stock and round stock. This means that the metal is heated and quenched in water repeatedly between hammering out the desired forms on an anvil. All of the pieces were then attached to my fabricated solid copper support form. (next sculpture)
